The agency was founded in 1953 by Edward J. Keating and William C. Sullivan. They moved to their newly built facilities at 840 Liberty Street in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, Massachusetts in 1967. Mr. Edward J. Keating is a native of Springfield. "Ed" graduated from Saint Michael's College in Winooski, Vermont. He served as Police Commissioner for Springfield. Mr. William C. Sullivan is a native of Springfield. "Billy" was Mayor of the City of Springfield in the 1970's. He was also a State Representative and City Clerk. The Boys' Club and Basketball Hall of Fame Tipoff Classic have both benefited by his participation on their Boards and Committees.
Mr. David F. Mathews is a native of Springfield. He graduated from Westfield State College in Westfield, Massachusetts. "Dave" joined the firm in 1994. He had prior experience in another agency for sixteen years and six years of underwriting for two different Insurance companies. Dave has attained the following highly regarded designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (C.P.C.U.), Certified Insurance Counselor (C.I.C.), Licensed Insurance Adviser
